Dear CG Families,

TOMORROW IS GOING TO BE WARM AND WET! Please make sure to pack extra clothes, rain boots, and a lighter jacket. The kids, because of the weather, may be a little muddy at pick up! We will do everything we can, but play is important, and a little dirt is good for everyone. Please note that it is very helpful to our teachers to have all extra clothes and weather gear properly labeled! Kids have their own cubbies and hooks, but there are still dozens of adorable jackets and gloves that we want to make sure get home to the right person.

If you need any extra labels check out our MABEL’S LABELS fundraiser! They have all of the most adorable labels and stamps for every kid and every occasion. Just search “Childcare of the Common Ground Foundation” and get shopping!

REMINDER: We are CLOSED on Monday, February 21st for President’s Day!

If you are ordering in person make sure to show this flyer! Please note: ordering through apps like UberEats, DoorDash, etc WILL NOT COUNT toward the fundraiser!

Please make sure to sign up for extended hours if you need them! Remember, extended hours sign ups done two days prior are included in your tuition.

Please keep in mind that we only schedule to keep staff here based on sign ups. If no one signs up, the center will open at 8am and close at 5:30pm

Has your love bug, busy bee, or kindergartener come home and told you about Jiji the penguin!? Miss Victoria rolled out our implementation of the Mind Institute’s ST Math program in our preschool classrooms at the beginning of this year.

You can read all about how ST Math uses a spacial-temporal approach to ensure a conceptual understanding of math that align with the Virginia standards! Not only that, it’s FUN!

You may be thinking that you’d love to let your kids play at home too, right? Well, the brilliance of this program is that preschoolers only need 30 minutes a week (kindergarten does 60 minutes per week), so we ask that if you want to have your child do ST Math at home, that you limit it to just 10 minutes per week!
