Newsletter: January 18

Dear Parents,

We are kicking off this week with a list of GOOD THINGS:

  • FCPS did not close today, so we were able to run our regular programs!

  • We had enough ice melt to treat the parking lot before car line started!

  • Our board president welcomed her baby girl to the world this weekend!

  • Our new tent looks repairable!

  • None of the Rising Stars are showing symptoms of COVID!

  • Today is national gourmet coffee day!

  • Tomorrow is National Popcorn Day!

  • We have Mac and Cheese for lunch today!

  • we have a great blog post for Martin Luther King Jr.

More winter weather in the forecast!

We are currently watching two winter events coming up this week. The first is in the forecast for Thursday Morning. We will keep you up to date as things progress with this event through Brightwheel and through this post.

Universal Masking

We practice Universal Masking at Common Ground for all staff and students aged 3 and up. We also expect our community to wear a mask in all indoor public spaces, regardless of vaccination status for as long as it is recommended by health officials.

This applies to children who attend public school and also attend Common Ground.

Thank you for being a part of our Community!

love,

The CG Team
