Happy Tuesday Common Ground!

Summer weather is HERE and it’s GLORIOUS! And you know what that means - WATER PLAY!
Water Play:
Busy Bees: Please send your Busy Bees dressed for water play on Mondays and Wednesdays for water play.
Campers:
Rising K Camp: Please send them dressed for the pool on Tuesdays and Thursdays. They should wear their camp shirt and quick dry clothing everyday!
School Aged Camp: Please send them dressed for the pool on Mondays and Wednesdays, and with swim stuff on Tuesdays and Thursdays. They should wear their camp shirt and quick dry clothing everyday!
ALL CLASSES: Please send a swim outfit and towel on Mondays that can stay at the center all week. It will come home on Fridays to be laundered!
We are super excited to welcome Zach to our full time staff! He will be assisting in our Busy Bee classroom, supporting our inclusion program, all while he works on his Child Development Associate! Welcome ZACH!
Zach comes with some experience working for an after school program with older children, but is excited to begin working in the preschool setting.

“Hello everyone, my name is Kassia Guevara. I’m Ms.Marita’s daughter. I recently started working in honeybees two weeks ago with Ms. Adela and Mr. Josh. They’ve taught me so much these past weeks, they’re such amazing teachers and are so caring towards their students. I’ve grown to love all the kids in this center and their own unique personalities. I’m so excited for all the fun activities planned for this summer and even more excited to get to know more of you in camp!”

Elise
Elise is completing her summer field study for her degree this summer at Common Ground! She is working in our baby room while Miss Nana is on maternity leave, but will also spend time in other classes to help round out her experience!

“I’m excited to be working at camp this summer because I’ll get to soak up the sun, meet new faces and have lots of fun!”
“I’m so excited to be working at camp this summer because I can’t wait to spend the summer making sure the kids stay safe while having as much fun as possible.”
We have a few more counselors starting later in the summer and will introduce you to them next week!
Save the Date: Kona Ice will be on site on Friday, June 18th to celebrate our first full week of camp!
