Natural materials are among the easiest, cheapest, and most engaging materials to use with young children. In this session, we will discuss the benefits of encouraging young children to explore and create with natural materials and explore what is needed to plan and prepare for these experiences. We will take some time to explore natural materials, create art, and generate nature-based art experiences to facilitate with young children.
