Step Around The World in 2026
Our Common Ground Steps challenge is back with a new twist. This time, it’s a group project! Here’s how it works:
Use some kind of fitness tracker (you phone works) to track your steps, miles, or whatever you are doing
Record your steps/activities weekly right here on this form on Mondays for the previous week, don’t worry we will remind you and help!
We will update the team on our progress to our destinations!
So what are the goals and where are we going? Our first destination is 368 miles away. We are headed to Raleigh, NC! Once we “arrive” we will have a staff lunch of Carolina BBQ! (don’t worry, we will make sure to have vegetarian options as well.) After we get to Raleigh, we will announce our next destination and culinary event that’s about 1000 miles away from Raleigh!
All staff get to participate in the lunch parties, even if they don’t contribute steps, however, we will get our destinations faster with more participation AND for every mile you contribute to our journey, you’ll get your name entered into a drawing for a surprise at each destination!
Details and rules:
We encourage the use of a tracker, but this challenge uses the honor system
2300 steps is equal to 1 mile
5 miles of biking equals 1 mile of walking
400m of swimming equals 1 mile
10 is the maximum number of miles one person can contribute per day - (23,000 steps)
